November 2026 will be a musically magical time: Ceòlas – Scottish Music Nights brings two of the most exciting acts of the Scottish folk scene together on one stage – the award-winning band Daimh and the brilliant duo Rachel Hair & Ron Jappy . Together they will tour through Germany and Northern Europe – with stops in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden – and invite their audience on a passionate journey into the soundscapes of Scotland.
Rachel Hair & Ron Jappy – Harp meets guitar, tradition meets virtuosity
When Rachel Hair’s harp and Ron Jappy’s guitar sound together, an electrifying dynamic unfolds, brimming with emotion, depth, and technical brilliance. The two are considered a “brilliantly simpatico duo” (fRoots) – and rightly so: they weave delicate melodies, clear strathspeys, and rapid reels into a modern, vibrant folk experience that touches and inspires. With their charming stage presence and unique interplay, they create moments that linger long in the memory.
Dàimh – The sound of a vibrant Gaelic present
Dàimh (Gaelic for “connection”) is one of the most important representatives of Scottish folk music – bringing the cultural soul of the West Highlands to the stage with boundless energy. The group, which has won the “Folk Band of the Year” award multiple times, combines authentic tradition with contemporary musicianship. Whether rousing reels, soulful ballads, or powerful Gaelic chants – Angus MacKenzie, Gabe McVarish, Ross Martin, Murdo Cameron, and Ellen MacDonald create a soundscape that is both profound and captivating.

Since 2023, the Ceòlas concert series has been captivating German audiences with the diversity, depth, and innovative power of Scottish music. Supported by Showcase Scotland Expo and the Scottish Government in Berlin , the series has also established itself in Northern Europe since 2024 – serving as a cultural bridge between Scotland and the north of the continent.
