About The Event
The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is a regional collaboration of people in the music industry of Atlantic Canada. The ECMA’s mission is to foster, develop, promote and celebrate East Coast Music – with Scotland a priority market for its members.
In a three-year partnership with the ECMA, Showcase Scotland Expo promoted and developed opportunities for Scottish artists in Canada – specifically in the Atlantic region (Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick).
The annual East Coast Music Week event brings together musicians, artists, agents, managers, record companies, studios, media, retailers and a range of organisations across the industry – providing a perfect chance for us to showcase Scottish artists with a view to securing further opportunities in Canada.
In 2014, Amy Duncan and Rua Macmillan Trio were selected by our Steering Group to showcase at ECMA.
