Gnoss’ signature sound is a rich tapestry of acoustic layers that combine outstanding musicianship, deep traditional roots and contemporary compositional flair to create songs and tunes brimming with character. Formed by the award-winning Orkney duo of Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie, alongside Perthshire’s Connor Sinclair and Craig Baxter, from Stirling, the Glasgow-based quartet have been captivating audiences for nearly a decade.

Triple Scots Trad Music Awards nominees, and the unique warmth of their live shows, proven through three consecutive sellout appearances at Glasgow’s world-famous Celtic Connections festival. They have performed to entranced audiences across France, Italy, Denmark and throughout the UK.

With the release of their third album, 2023’s Stretching Skyward, Gnoss reignited their collaboration with producer and engineer, Scott Wood (Skerryvore), further exploring their acoustic roots whilst incorporating new electronic elements. Performances included standout appearances at prestigious festivals including Orkney Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Towersey Festival and Denmark’s Tønder Festival, placing Gnoss firmly at the forefront of Scottish folk music.
