Ceòlas – Scottish Music Nights 2025

In the series “Ceòlas – Scottish Music Nights” we present new and celebrated Scottish artists to audiences around Germany.  Since 2023, the series has brought the beauty, diversity, and modernity of Scottish folk music to German audiences. 

Supported by Showcase Scotland Expo and the Scottish Government in Berlin, two bands are selected by a panel of music experts to perform in Germany.

Firelight Trio

The Firelight Trio play European music that is atmospheric, imaginative, versatile, and endlessly exciting—a rich tapestry of lively Swedish polkas and Scottish reels, buoyant French waltzes, rousing klezmer, and stunning original tunes. 

Kim Carnie

Kim Carnie is best known as the lead singer of Mànran and one of Scotland’s most sought-after vocalists. Her velvety, slightly smoky voice captivates audiences on international stages. Kim will perform with her band, featuring Innes White on guitar, Megan Henderson on fiddle, and John Lowrie on piano.
